Catch of the Week

Les Little and Derek Hodgson both recorded superb 8 fish limit catches for 18lb respectively. The key to their ongoing success it to keep on the move and fish the conditions.

Memorable moment of the week:

Johnathon Lamb from Morpeth was all set for the weekend and was left feeling very lucky despite it being Friday the 13th! After landing a 4lb tagged rainbow trout from the North Shore Bay on a Mepps spinner a delighted Johnathan went on to record his 8 fish limit catch. This was Fontburn's 21st tagged fish of the season – we have now paid out £4000 of cash prizes this season with more to come!

Best area and flies:

South Shore Bay and the Dam Wall, White Muddler and Cat’s Whisker.

Best areas & baits / lures

North Shore Bay and the dam wall, Spinners, Mepps and Flying C. Swim-feeders with Magic Dust and Orange PowerBait Eggs.
