Catch of the Week

Steven Hedley was undisputed champ when it came to heaviest fish and overall catch this week with his humongous 19lb rainbow, taken on a No.2 Mepps spinner, which pushed his total catch of eight rainbows to a whopping 40lb total.

Memorable moment of the week:

Early riser Kevin Dargue was first angler on the water Saturday and subsequently left with one of the biggest smiles, brought on by a catch of seven rainbows totalling 29lb 7oz from the north shore bay and including a personal best 9lb specimen taken on orange Powerbait eggs.

Best area and flies:

Dam Wall and north shore burn along to and beyond the point. Daddies, Claret Hopper, Bibio and Yellow Dancer have all caught fish.

Best areas & baits / lures

Dam Wall and north shore burn along to and beyond the point. Worms, Red Wigglers, Mepps spinners, orange Powerbait eggs all worked well
