Best area and flies:

At the beginning of the week fly anglers found their fish in the Inlet with Ian and Denis landing 25 fish between them on buzzers and Richard Smart landing 28 using the same. Thursday saw the annual police match take to the water with every angler catching. Most came in with their eight trout and in total landed a fantastic 84 trout. They fished a variety of flies including buzzers, small lures and blobs with most fish caught on buzzers. Toward the end of the week Lodge Bay has been the hot spot with the fly anglers doing very well in this popular location.

Best areas & baits / lures

Spinning has been productive and has improved as the week has gone on with the bay and Inlet being the hot spots for the fish. Small spinners with bright colours have done well, fished in around eight feet of water. Garlic, orange and nymph have been the best colours for Powerbait with the Goldfish Bowl being the best area from the bank and School Bay/Hall Point being the best for boats. Float fished lobworms also fished well around the Goldfish Bowl and Peninsula.
