Catch of the week:

A father and son team took to the water this weekend and had a brilliant day. They together landed their limit, as did their friend. They were using a mixture of spinners and powerbait to tempt these stunning rainbow trout to the net.

Best area and flies:

Small buoyant flies, and small lures have done well this week, with nymphs beginning to do well toward the end of the week. With plenty of buzzers beginning to hatch off the water, the smaller flies are definitely beginning to do the trick. Along the natural bank, Lodge bay, the Small valve tower and Saltmarsh point have done well this week for bank and boat anglers.

Best areas & baits / lures

Garlic, Rainbow, and Green have been good colours this week for the powerbait, with bright colours in general tempting the fish in. Oranges and Greens have been the colours of choice for those spinning or lure fishing, with worms tempting in their fair share of trout. The natural bank, Peninsula, Saltmarsh point and Middlemead have done well for both bank and boat anglers.

Fishing with Waterside Parks is the perfect way to enjoy a great sport, whether you like fly fishing, bank fishing, coarse fishing or wild brown trout fishing.

With so many different locations to choose from, and styles of fishing, every experience will feel new and exciting.
