Catch of the week:

The boats did very well over the weekend, particularly on Sunday. With a healthy number of boats landing their 8 fish limits, with all being an average of 3lb, it’s hard to choose one catch for this week!

Best area and flies:

Small buoyant flies, hare’s ears and nymphs have done well this week. Fly anglers targeting the hall point and school bay area, the bubble lines and out in the middle have found the fish. Coral, orange and red have done well for small buoyant flies, especially with a little bit of holographic material.

Best areas & baits / lures

Yellow, Garlic and nymph powerbait have done well this week, especially out around the middle/behind the cages, and the main dam wall. Spinning has also done well around the cages, inlet and hall point, especially with silvers, blues and coppers. Worms have fished well this week, with the natural bank and around the large valve tower doing well.

Fishing with Waterside Parks is the perfect way to enjoy a great sport, whether you like fly fishing, bank fishing, coarse fishing or wild brown trout fishing.
