Looking for something to keep the kids entertained in the great outdoors over October half-term? We’ve got you covered with a spine-tingling week of activities for big and little kids. From Pumpkin Carving to Axe Throwing there’s something for everyone to enjoy at Derwent Waterside Park.
Pumpkin Carving
26 & 31 October, 02 November, 11am-2pm
£2.50 per person
Create spooktacular memories for the whole family this Halloween with pumpkin carving and games. Featuring displays, interactive games, a carving tent, and face painting along with loads of photo opportunities, there’s plenty of horrifying fun to get your (vampire) teeth stuck into. Entry is £2.50 per person aged 2+ and includes a pumpkin. Booking is essential.
Axe Throwing & Target Games
27 & 30 October
£12 per person – Axe Throwing (10am-12pm)
£6 per person – Target Games (1pm-3pm)
On target fun for all ages with two days of expertly instructed axe throwing (age 8+) and target games (ages 3-10).
Throw axes with the correct technique shown by our instructors and see if you can not only hit the target but get your tomahawks to stick in! Axe-throwing is a fun and safe activity with our trained instructor in a dedicated area.
For younger members of the family, they can still enjoy all the action using junior archery, crossbow and axe throwing equipment in our target games.
Book now to avoid disappointment.

Ready, Steady, Boo! Get into gear with our Halloween Dam Wall Fun Run!
Starting on the north side of the dam wall, join us on this 1-mile family-friendly run across to the south side and back! Make it extra spooky and dress up in your scariest outfit. Runners under the age of 16 will also receive a medal and goody bag. Register to run.
