About Derwent Fest
Set in the picturesque North Pennines at Derwent Waterside Park – music, fun, and relaxation come together to create an unforgettable weekend at Derwent Fest.
Taking place on Friday 15 & Saturday 16 August 2025, Derwent Fest is in its fourth year and has fast become a must attend summer event in North East England. Featuring a diverse lineup of tribute acts, there’s no doubt you’ll be dancing all weekend long.
With day and weekend tickets available, attendees can camp under the region’s Dark Skies and enjoy a host of local food vendors and suppliers for a truly authentic North East festival experience.

When is the Festival?
Friday 15 and Saturday 16 August. Visitors can buy both day tickets, or a ticket for the full weekend.
The festival kicks off with our first performers at 5:00pm on Friday evening.
The first act on Saturday will start at 11:30am.

Can I bring my dog?
Yes! Derwent Waterside Park is a dog friendly site and your furry friends are welcome at Derwent Fest. We ask they are kept on a lead at all times.
Is food and drink available on site?
Yes! We’ll have various options across the full weekend. A licensed bar serving alcohol and soft drinks will also be available.

Can I bring my own food & drink?
Yes. You can bring your own food and soft drinks in sealed bottles and containers. No alcohol can be brought into the festival arena.
Where can I stay?
Derwent Fest is a full festival experience and includes modern camping facilities for festival goers. Pitches are available for tents, motorhomes and caravans.
The camping field is equipped with modern toilet and shower facilities. Derwent Waterside Park is a dedicated dark skies site. Once the music stops, turn your eyes to the skies overhead, if you’re lucky you might catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights and a range of constellations.
If camping isn’t your thing and you want to stay nearby there are a variety of B&Bs and hotels in the surrounding area. See Visit County Durham’s accommodation guide for more inspiration.
Is there onsite parking?
Parking is available onsite and is included with the cost of your ticket. To help us manage space, you must reserve your parking spot when you purchase your festival ticket.
You must reserve a parking spot for each individual car. If you’re travelling in a group, we ask that visitors car share wherever possible.

Derwent Waterside Park is located in Edmundbyers, between Consett and Hexham.
Coming in from the A68, drivers should turn south at The Manor House Inn and head down into the valley. Our entrance is located to the right-hand side before crossing a bridge.
