Fantastic place to visit. It’s super dark, we had a very clear and cold night and the views were amazing. Gary and his team were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I will definitely be back again and I think it would be fantastic for kids who are interested to.

What lovely place to visit and walk with our two little dogs

What great place to visit a fantastic reservoir with lovely walks for the dogs and us both. We were able to have a cup of tea and a sandwich before we left even if we bought our own. The coffee and visitor centre at the entrance is fantastic – Derwent Waterside Park

A big thank you!

They loved the cave bus today and park and we squeezed a picnic in and cake for my daughters 11th birthday in between the rain. Fab day!

Sons first ever catch

Just wanted to send you a photo of my son Jake, age 7, after catching his first ever rainbow trout on Saturday with power bait. One very happy little boy and dad.

We are back o Friday or Saturday this week as he has caught the fishing bug lol!

Water Safety Keep out of the reservoirs

There are many dangers when entering a reservoir, from cold water shock, due to the freezing temperatures, to hidden working machinery and fast moving water.

Water levels Why are they so low?

Reservoir water levels are affected by many things, from reduced rain fall, which in some areas of our regions has been below average for over the past 15 years, to the number of new builds across the country. As demand is increasing and rainfall is decreasing we need the help of customers to make every drop count in their homes.
