Brought to you by Northumbrian Water / Essex & Suffolk Water, our parks are located across the North East, North Yorkshire and Essex and provide the perfect backdrop for adventure and family fun.
Following the latest government guidance we plan to open all our Waterside Parks and reservoirs on Monday 12th April 2021, provided all measures of the Governments 4 tests are met. The opening of our sites includes all leisure activities such as fishing, walking and cycling, our shops, cafes and play parks.
Due to continued essential upgrades in 2021 to our overflows at Grassholme there will be no access for anglers to the dam wall and access to the north shore will only be from the western end car park.

They loved the cave bus today and park and we squeezed a picnic in and cake for my daughters 11th birthday in between the rain. Fab day!

What lovely place to visit and walk with our two little dogs
What great place to visit a fantastic reservoir with lovely walks for the dogs and us both. We were able to have a cup of tea and a sandwich before we left even if we bought our own. The coffee and visitor centre at the entrance is fantastic – Derwent Waterside Park

From Northumberland down to North Yorkshire and also in Chelmsford, Essex, Waterside Parks make you feel like you have been able to get away, but not travel too far.
Reservoir water levels are affected by many things, from reduced rain fall, which in some areas of our regions has been below average for over the past 15 years, to the number of new builds across the country. As demand is increasing and rainfall is decreasing we need the help of customers to make every drop count in their homes.
