Catch of the week:

With an unsettled week of weather David Littley braved the conditions and was delighted with a four fish catch. These were all 2lb plus and the key to success was keeping on the move when wind direction changed. David took all his fish on ledgered Powerbait eggs

Memorable moment of the week:

John Marshall visited after putting a day’s holiday in and was eager to get a rod in the water and was not disappointed. He netted three fish with one the biggest of the week at 2lb 12oz. John reported lots of activity but success is more likely by sitting on your hands and not strike too early as the fish are very tentative.

Best areas & baits / lures

All areas are producing fish when conditions allow but weather conditions are a big factor in where’s fishing best. Good tip is to fish with the wind in your face as the fish follow the wind lanes hunting for windblown terrestrials on the water. Also try fishing close to the margins as they are also hunting fry in the shallows where a well placed lure or spinner may well reap rewards.
