We kick off at 7am with the weigh in and prize giving starting at 3:15pm. Anglers are advised to arrive early to pay for entrance, and get their favoured spots!
Entrance tickets need to be purchased prior to any gear being set up on the banks, and these are bought directly from the Lions in the small lodge, next to the shop, here at Fontburn. All normal fishery rules apply.
PLEASE NOTE: As this is a competition, anglers are only permitted to fish one rod at any one time. As such: 2 rod permits are unavailable to competition entrants on the day.
Entrants can enter the tagged sweep as normal.
Loyalty card points are unavailable for competition entrants, but the tackle shop will be open as normal throughout the day for all your angling requirements.
Finally: Don’t forget to get your rod licence ahead of Saturday, as we no longer sell them on site. These are available from: gov.uk/get-a-fishing-licence or by phoning: 0344 800 5386 or by visiting your local Post Office.
