Kielder Water, Fontburn, Derwent, Grassholme and Hury reservoirs will be ready and keenly waiting for anglers to arrive from 8.00am on Saturday 12 March (6.00am at Kielder Water).
Anglers in the Teesdale area will be keen to hear that Grassholme reservoir will be reopen for any method fishing, with Hury reservoir returning to a fly only fishery. Tickets can be purchased through the online booking system at www.bookwhen.com/watersideparksnorth, or at Grassholme Reservoir Visitor Centre on the day. Work is still ongoing on our spillway at Grassholme, so access to the north shore will be from the west end and the dam wall will also be closed to anglers and walkers until work is complete.
Closing dates for trout fisheries this year (subject to change, dependent on weather and water levels) are:
Fontburn – Wednesday 30 November 2022
Derwent – Sunday 26 February 2023
Kielder Water, Grassholme and Hury – Monday 31 October 2022
Our winter rainbow trout fishing permits will start on 1 November 2022 and will be available at Derwent and Fontburn only.
We can’t wait to see you all at our Waterside Parks and reservoirs again, for a fantastic year of angling. Tight lines!
