Avian Flu Warning – How to reduce the risks

As a result of the increasing rate of Avian Flu, we are taking measures to reduce risks to ourselves, our visitors and to wild birds at our Waterside Parks and reservoirs. We have removed all bird feeders across our sites and ask the public not to feed any birds when visiting.

If you come across a sick or dead wild bird, do not touch or pick them up. Stay clear of any wild bird feathers or surfaces with wild bird droppings.

Please remember to keep to the footpaths and keep dogs on leads at all times.

For more information on reducing the risks and reporting dead or sick wild birds, see the Government information link below.
