Celebrating English Tourism Week 2026: the people behind our parks

English Tourism Week 2026 on 13-22 March. Local Stories. National DestinationsAs English Tourism Week 2026 gets underway (13–22 March), we are proudly celebrating the theme Local Stories, National Growth—a chance to shine a spotlight on the incredible people who bring our reservoirs, forests, landscapes and experiences to life.

Across Northumberland, County Durham, North Yorkshire and Essex, our teams don’t just welcome visitors, they shape the memories, magic and meaning behind every visit.

This week, we’re celebrating the local heroes whose passion turns our destinations into memorable outdoor experiences.

Across Waterside Parks and Kielder Waterside, we believe the outdoors has the power to inspire, uplift and reconnect people with nature. But it’s our teams—their stories, dedication, and love for what they do—who truly make us a national destination worth celebrating this English Tourism Week.

To everyone across our parks and watersides—thank you.
