Parking and access notice for Sunday 30 May
We would like to make visitors to Derwent Waterside Park aware of parking and access restrictions that will be occurring on Sunday 30 May, due to a running event taking place around the reservoir.
?♂ The event, being hosted by Wild Deer Events, starts at 8.00am and finishes around 3.00pm, so car parks will be affected all day. There will be over 200 competitors, so please be aware, the car parks that are open near the play park will have very limited space, if you were wishing to visit.
⛔️ There will be restricted access to the north and south shore dam wall car parks, as the access roads to these will be closed for the duration of the event.
? For anglers to gain access to the reservoir on the day, and for anyone wishing to enjoy the walks available, car parks will be open at Pow Hill and Millshields picnic site. Anglers can also park and gain access to the reservoir from Cronkley farm or above the sailing club. Anglers can book their fishing permits online at www.bookwhen.com/watersideparksnorth, to avoid delays accessing the car parks near the fishing shop and café.
To anyone taking part in the event, we hope you have an enjoyable day, and to all our visitors, we thank you for your understanding. If you would like to learn more about the running events being held on our site visit www.wilddeerevents.co.uk/locations/derwent-reservoir/
