Fishing and visiting our Waterside Parks in Tier 4

Following the latest government guidance and the North East moving into Tier 4, we have made the decision in the interest of public health, that the cafe at Derwent Waterside Park, our fishing shops and visitor centres will close on all sites with immediate effect.

This also includes the full closure to the public of Hanningfield Waterside Parks in Essex, to help reduce the spread of Covid-19.

Waterside Parks across the North East will remain open to locals for their daily exercise. Some toilets and all car parking facilities will be open as well.

Angling will still be available within the North East via online booking only, subject to weather conditions. Due to the current conditions, access to Derwent Waterside Park has been affected by snow and ice and is currently limited. All car parks and picnic areas have been closed around the reservoir on safety grounds, except for the small car park outside the café and shop.
