Catch of the week:

Mr. K Butler took the best fish of the week of 7lb whilst Mr. J Coombes netted a seven fish catch for 20lb including a fish weighing in at 5lb

Memorable moment of the week:

David Wilson took the advice of the ranger team and headed for the quiet and was duly rewarded with an eight fish limit catch, which included a couple of 3lb rainbows and this 2lb 8oz blue. David ledgered Powerbait at distance in the shallows between Pow Hill and Hunter House, one of the best and most under fished areas!

Best area and flies:

The meadow, Cronkley using small traditional flies such as Bibio, Hare’s Ear, Black Gnat, Zulu, Black Pennell and Black and Peacock Spider

Best areas & baits / lures

Hunter House and bank west of Sailing Club have fished well using ledgered Powerbait or float fished worm
