Safety advice issued for anglers at Whittle Dene reservoirs

NEWSFLASH – Update 21 October 2022

Water levels at Whittle Dene reservoirs have dropped making the banks unsafe for fishing.

Your safety and comfort are our primary concern, and we are sorry to inform you that we have taken the decision to close all of the reservoirs for fishing.

Coarse fishing is still available at Derwent, Fontburn, Lockwood Beck and Scaling Dam reservoirs.

Please note at Derwent available bank space is limited to Millshields and a section of north shore from the Tower up to the meadow.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by the closure, in the meantime if water levels rise sufficiently, we will re-open the reservoirs for fishing.

Please check our website or Facebook page for updates regarding the water levels at Whittle Dene or call us on 0345 155 0236.
