Selset reservoir closure from June 2021

Important update regarding public access to Selset Reservoir

Please be aware that important maintenance and safety upgrades are due to take place at Selset Reservoir from Tuesday 1 June, until the end of the year.

The work on the dam face requires us to reduce the water levels in the reservoir, exposing soft ground, and will also involve the operation of heavy machinery.

To ensure the safety of all visitors, as well as those working on the project, we will be closing the reservoir site for the duration of this work. Please stay safe and adhere to all safety signs and closures.

We appreciate the disappointment of not being able to visit Selset at this time, but Grassholme Waterside Park is there for you alongside our three other wild brown trout reservoirs!

This year has seen the re-opening of the majority of neighbouring Grassholme, with the exception of the dam wall and a small part of the North Shore, as work on that reservoir moves into its final stage, which is due to be completed in 2022. The site’s fishing lodge and shop are also open for business.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you to our other reservoirs, while Selset is closed.
